Article Processing Charges (APC) & Waiver Details

Transparent Fee Structure

The Journal of Clinical and Advanced Medicine (JCAM) is committed to sustainable open-access publishing. To cover the costs of digital infrastructure, web hosting, XML typesetting, long-term archival preservation, and permanent DOI tracking, the journal relies on an Article Processing Charge (APC) model.

  • Submission Fee: 0 USD (There is absolutely no charge to submit a manuscript; fees are only applied to accepted papers).
  • Article Processing Charge (APC): 500 USD (Invoiced exclusively after a manuscript has successfully passed double-blind peer review and received a formal editorial acceptance notice).

Author Withdrawal Policy:

Authors may withdraw their article free of charge within 7 days of its initial submission. However, once an article has been accepted and processing has commenced, a mandatory withdrawal fee equivalent to 20% (100 USD) of the applicable processing charges will apply if the author requests withdrawal.

This policy respects the author’s right to withdraw while ensuring fair compensation for the editorial and processing efforts undertaken by the journal.

Waiver and Discount Policy

JCAM firmly believes that financial constraints should never act as a barrier to the dissemination of high-quality scientific research. We provide a robust financial safety net for self-funded researchers and authors from low- and middle-income regions:

  • Full APC Waivers: Granted exclusively to exceptional, highly rigorous, high-impact manuscripts at the sole discretion of the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board.
  • Partial Waivers & Discounts: Authors from developing economies or institutions experiencing severe financial constraints may apply for an APC discount, ranging from 50% to 75% off the standard fee.

Mandatory Rule: Any request for an APC waiver or discount must be formally submitted by the corresponding author at the time of initial manuscript submission. Waiver applications submitted after a paper has entered the peer-review pipeline will not be evaluated.
