Corrections and Privacy Policy
Correction Policy
The Journal of Clinical and Advanced Medicine (JCAM) is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. Corrections are issued when errors are identified that do not compromise the overall scientific validity of the published work.
Corrections may be issued in cases including, but not limited to:
- Minor typographical or formatting errors
- Errors in author names, affiliations, or contact details
- Citation or reference inaccuracies
- Other non-scientific mistakes that require clarification
All corrections are published as an Erratum or Correction Notice, which is clearly linked to the original article to ensure transparency and traceability.
Retraction Policy
JCAM considers retraction when serious issues are identified that invalidate the reliability or ethical standing of a published article. Retractions are handled in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Retraction Guidelines.
Retraction may be initiated in cases such as:
- Proven plagiarism or duplicate publication
- Data fabrication, falsification, or manipulation
- Serious methodological or analytical errors that invalidate conclusions
- Ethical misconduct involving authorship, research ethics, or patient consent
Retraction Fees
- If a retraction is requested by the author without editorial fault, a retraction fee may be applicable due to the administrative and reputational impact on the journal.
- If a retraction is initiated by the journal due to verified ethical or quality concerns, no retraction fee is charged.
All retracted articles remain accessible online for the scholarly record and are clearly marked as Retracted, with an accompanying retraction notice explaining the reason.
